We offer a wide range of general Medical Services to the whole family:

We offer both face-to-face and telehealth consultations via phone or video.

  • General check ups including cervical screening, ECGs, spirometry, weight management etc
  • Childhood vaccinations
  • Antenatal shared care
  • Iron infusions
  • Skin checks and excisions
  • Allergy advice and management
  • Long acting contraceptives
  • Management of mental health conditions
  • Care plans, health assessments and mental health care plans
  • Anti-wrinkle injections

Cold and flu symptoms?

If you have ANY respiratory symptoms at all (this includes sore ears, sinus congestion, fever, slight runny nose, "daycare coughs" in kids etc), you must have received a negative swab result before we can see you in person. Let's do our best to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Like a good coffee, our appointments come in singles or doubles.

(SINGLE 15 MINUTES & DOUBLE 30 MINUTES)

If you are unsure how long you need, asking reception on booking would be advisable. By taking the time to consider how long you book, you will help ensure we do a better job of running on time 🙂

Our general fees enables us to provide quality care for you.

In order to be able to offer you the time and quality of care that you deserve, we are primarily a private billing clinic. A gap is the amount out of pocket after receiving your rebate back from medicare. Our gap remains the same regardless of the time taken for your appointment.

Certain special services attract different fees, to reflect complexity or equipment needed for these services. Please see below for details.

• Childhood Immunisations – No out-of-pocket charge
• Mirena Insertion – $459 (Out-of-pocket $229.75)
• Repeat Prescriptions and Referral Requests – $25
• Other Procedures (e.g., Skin Excisions, Implanon Insertions) – May attract
a $100 facility fee
• Elective ECGs & Ear Syringing – May attract additional out-of-pocket
fees

Consultation Fees – Information

Lighthouse General Practice is a Private Billing Practice

Concession Fees

To aid the most vulnerable in our community, the GPs may use their
discretion and offer consultations at the concession fee. The Concession Fee
may be varied at the discretion of the GP.

Telehealth & Video Consultations

Telehealth and Video consultations attract the same fee as the corresponding
face-to-face consultation. To be eligible for GP Telehealth Services,
patients must have had a face-to-face consultation with their GP (or another
GP within the clinic) in the 12 months before the telehealth service.

WorkCover Queensland / Workplace Injuries

Workplace injury consultation and treatment fees are payable on the day of
treatment.

Treatment Room – Facility Fees

Procedures and treatments provided within our Treatment Room may incur
additional Practice Fees, separate to the GP consultation or procedure fee.
This may include minor and complex procedures such as skin cancer removal,
suturing, infusions, and wound dressings.

Failed to Attend / Late Cancellation Policy

We understand sometimes plans change and you may be unable to attend your
scheduled appointment. To help us manage our time and ensure all patients
have access to care, we have a Failed to Attend / Late Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations: Please give at least 4 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or
reschedule your appointment.

Late Cancellations or Missed Appointments: If you cancel with less than the
required notice, or do not attend without informing us, a fee of $50.00 for
a standard appointment may apply.

Repeated Non-Attendance: Multiple missed appointments may result in future
bookings being restricted.

This policy allows us to offer your appointment time to another patient in
need and keep waiting times as short as possible.
