Lighthouse General Practice was started by a group of four, fun, fabulous and caring Doctors who became friends through their shared sense of values and their shared sense of humour.
We have a team of experienced independent General Practitioners offering services through the practice.

Dr Humphreys originates from the UK where she attended Medical School in London, moving to Australia in 2003. Christine has worked in a variety of NSW and Qld Hospitals obtaining her GP Fellowship in Brisbane in 2012. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice but has a special interest in Women’s Health including - Reproductive Health, Antenatal care, Menopause and Anti-wrinkle injections. She believes in helping her patients by listening carefully to their concerns and providing ongoing continuity of care. Looking after her 2 children and catching up with friends and family keep her busy outside the clinic.

Dr South studied Science and the Arts before completing her medical training at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. She enjoys the complexity and wide range of presentations that comes with General Practice as a specialty. From antenatal care to paediatrics, and later adolescent health challenges, the continuity of care is something she finds rewarding. She looks forward to knowing all her patients well, and finds listening to the stories of her patients a unique privilege. Outside of work, Dr South enjoys spending time with her family where they get outdoors to parklands and beaches. Professionally, she continues to attend regular medical updates and conferences with the most recent being for parenting/family health, diabetes management and antenatal care.

Dr. Claire Stewart obtained her medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2005. She then spent 10 years working in North Queensland before relocating to Brisbane in 2016. She is a Fellow of the RACGP. Claire loves explaining things to patients in a way that they can understand. She particularly loves seeing kids (including kids with ADHD and ASD) and has strong interests in allergic medicine, women's health and genetics. She has further qualifications in skin cancer medicine and will happily perform skin excisions and do minor procedures. She also inserts and removes contraceptive implants and performs iron infusions. Claire loves really getting to know her patients and won't say no to a chat. She has two very active boys and spends her “free” time drinking coffee while camping, playing footy and trying to snatch some peace and quiet in her veggie garden. She has also recently starting doing triathlons - proving it is never too late to try doing something new and active.
Dr Stewart is not currently taking on new patients.
Dr Jenny Glover has lived on the beautiful bayside for 15 years. Originally from Scotland, Jenny completed her medical training at The University of Glasgow in 2001. After relocating to Australia Jenny has spent time in both busy metropolitan and rural hospital & GP settings in both QLD and NSW. An experienced GP, Jenny enjoys the variety of General Practice with a special focus on: Womens Health Antenatal care Paediatric and adolescent health Contraception and fertility Married with one son, Jenny is kept busy with her variety of animals and enjoys spending time with family and friends on the bay.
Dr Glover is not currently taking on new patients.
Dr Sharmani Singh grew up locally in Brisbane and completed her MBBS on the Gold Coast. She enjoys all aspects of general practice and her special interests include paediatrics, women’s health –including family planning and contraception, she also offers shared antenatal care. Additionally Dr Singh does iron infusions and minor procedures for suitable patients. She has worked in a variety of clinical areas in large tertiary hospitals in Brisbane. She completed her FRACGP training and exams while working in Bundaberg. She has also completed a Diploma in Child Health. Dr Singh has been a volunteer doctor for medical clinics to rural and remote locations throughout Fiji.

Dr Janice Kiem completed her medical studies at Griffith University on the Gold Coast before working in hospitals in both metro and regional areas of Queensland.
She undertook completion of both the Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Diploma of Child Health before completing her FRACGP training in 2017.
Dr Janice enjoys the varied presentations of General Practice, with special interests in Reproductive Health, including Fertility, Pregnancy planning, and Antenatal Care, as well as Children’s Health and Preventative medicine. One of her greatest joy’s of working as a GP is multi-generational care, and the continuity that comes with looking after families through the different stages of their lives.
Dr Janice offers Mirena and Implanon insertions and removals, and Iron Infusions for appropriate patients.
When not working, she is kept very busy looking after her 3 children and spending time with her husband, family and friends in the beautiful Bayside community.
